Troubleshooting & Known Issues
If your controller is still not responding, try these community-verified fixes:
- The New Save Fix: The controller option may not appear or function in the Main Menu. You often need to fully load into a new save, then go into Gameplay Settings to enable the controller option.
- Setting Persistence: The controller toggle may automatically disable itself after you exit the settings menu. If this occurs, continue using the "New Save" method; it typically stabilizes once you are active in the game world.
- TOML Adjustment: If the UI toggle fails, you may need to manually open the game's .toml configuration file and change the input switch value from true to false to force the game to recognize the device.
